We said hello and invited in our most recent hen party in this weekend and they loved our Norfolk barns! What a great bunch of boys and girls – mostly air steward and stewardesses from different parts of the country.
As the food and drinks streamed in and the mountains of bags unpacked, we knew they were going to be in for a good hen party.
We’d already been briefed about the fact that Katie has set up a whole bunch of activities for the group which sounded like real fun and of course when they saw the “Boot Room” adorned with our own fancy dress’s, they loved the idea of getting stuck in to wearing the various Mexican hats, ponchos, bear suits, high heeled shoes and other outfits as part of the entertainment!
I believe a country walk was also on the agenda ( plenty of fab places to walk locally ) and then the obligatory county pub and lunch. Many of the local Norfolk pubs are great for serving local produce and are generally really good value. ( The local market town of Swaffham is also a great place to visit, if you want to go for some afternoon tea and a walk around some of the little shops , some of which sell antiques and crafts )
Saturday night was set and the caterers ( Florentina ) were due to come in and serve a feast for the bride to be and all to celebrate. We have a number of wonderful caterers that we recommend who will truly go out of their way to serve a culinary delight!

Well our group are leaving tomorrow, so no doubt we’re hear some funny stories of what’s gone on! As long as they’ve enjoyed them selves and had a wonderful stay at Ash Tree Barns, that also makes us happy too!
